Mask Protocol

Please Note: Due to COVID-19 & other infectious diseases, services are currently being performed in a large open area in your home or outside if the weather is nice.

You MUST wear masks; Your doctor will be wearing a mask as well. Your mask should securely cover your nose and mouth, and remain on as long as you are close to the doctor. If you need to blow your nose, please step away, then sanitize your hands afterwards. The doctor will give your pet a sedative injection, then can step away, if you would like, so that you can be with your pet unmasked. Masks need to be on for the second injection, when everyone is close together, but the doctor will step away again afterwards, to give you time unmasked with your pet.

Prioritizing Safety

We are constantly reassessing our protocols, and trying to accommodate families while protecting the most vulnerable clients that we see. We will be very close together, with our faces sometimes inches apart. In addition, people are often crying and touching their faces. We are erring on the side of caution to protect medically vulnerable clients, such as those with cancer, diabetes, COPD, immune disorders, asthma, etc. For some of these people, even getting a simple cold could cause serious health problems, so we put up with the inconvenience of the masks to protect them.
